香港浸會(huì)大學(xué)Christy M.K. Cheung副教授應(yīng)邀來(lái)管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院作學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告

  2019年7月15日上午9:00,應(yīng)管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院管理工程系邀請(qǐng),香港浸會(huì)大學(xué)Christy M.K. Cheung副教授在主樓216會(huì)議室作了題為“IT-Based Intervention: Understanding Bystanders’ Reporting Responses to Online Harassment on Social Media”的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告。報(bào)告會(huì)由管理工程系顏志軍教授主持,管理工程系老師、部分博士生及碩士生參加了研討會(huì)。

  

  在今天的報(bào)告中,Christy副教授為我們介紹了在生活中經(jīng)常遇到的online harassment研究。Online harassment是一種網(wǎng)絡(luò)欺凌行為,對(duì)社交媒體用戶(hù)構(gòu)成嚴(yán)重風(fēng)險(xiǎn),對(duì)平臺(tái)提供商構(gòu)成挑戰(zhàn)。近年來(lái),許多平臺(tái)提供商都實(shí)現(xiàn)了內(nèi)置的報(bào)告功能,以對(duì)抗這種令人反感的在線行為。然而,這些報(bào)告工具在鼓勵(lì)積極干預(yù)方面的有效性仍然相對(duì)未知。為了解決這一差距,即理解基于技術(shù)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)騷擾干預(yù)。該研究借助旁觀者干預(yù)框架,開(kāi)發(fā)了一個(gè)研究模型,解釋了一組評(píng)估因素如何影響旁觀者使用社交媒體內(nèi)置報(bào)告功能的意愿。并且對(duì)活躍的Facebook用戶(hù)進(jìn)行了實(shí)證測(cè)試。這項(xiàng)研究揭示了如何有效減輕網(wǎng)絡(luò)騷擾的負(fù)面影響,為建設(shè)一個(gè)更光明、更安全的數(shù)字社會(huì)提供了有價(jià)值的見(jiàn)解。

  演講人簡(jiǎn)介:

  Christy M.K. Cheung is Associate Professor of Information Systems and e-Business Management and the Director of Research Postgraduate Programmer of School of Business at Hong Kong Baptist University. She earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the College of Business at City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include Technology Use and Well-Being, Social Media, Data Analytics and IS Security. She has published more than 150 refereed articles in international journals and conference proceedings, including Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, MIS Quarterly and among others. She is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief for Internet Research.
